Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church

Worship

By gathering in worship, we encounter God’s grace, forgiveness, and steadfast love through Word and Sacrament.

Our congregation is composed of people from all walks of life who gather in joyful and authentic praise of God. Worship is not only an opportunity to offer praise and thanksgiving, but also a space for healing, growth, and transformation. We invite you to join us in worship and encounter how a relationship with the Triune God can bring about profound transformation.

Children in Worship

Children are an integral part of our worship experience as Christians. Through the liturgy of the Church, even the youngest members understand the patterns of our faith — repentance, renewal, adoration, praise, thanksgiving, and the tangible communication of the sacraments. We emphasize that children are not an obstacle to worship but an essential and beneficial element of our communal life together. We welcome and treasure every child who joins us in worship, knowing that they are a significant part of cultivating disciples for the Lord.

Music in Worship

The music ministry at Kountze Memorial Lutheran Church is a vibrant and vital aspect of our worship services and special events. Our music ministry includes children, youth, and adult choirs, bells, strings, brass, woodwinds, and our historic 47-rank Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ, providing unique opportunities for all ages to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through the gift of sacred music.
